Focus and Scope

Formulation Development and Analysis (FDA)is an online-only open-access peer-reviewed journal publishing original articles in the area of “Pharmaceutics” and “Pharmaceutical Analysis”

FDAfocuses on the concept, design & development and evaluation of formulations based on suitable experimental parameters. As different methods of analysis are necessary for the evaluation of formulations FDAalso focuses on Analytical Method Development and Validation of APIs in bulk, formulations and in dosage forms. FDAaccepts manuscripts in the following areas:

Pharmaceutics:

            Pre-formulation studies

Accelerated stability studies

Impurity profiling

Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics studies on animal models

Theoretical studies: Pharmacokinetics modelling; drug-drug and drug-polymer interaction etc.,  

Formulation of Conventional dosage forms (Tablet, Capsule etc.) and Novel delivary system including controlled release formulations and nanoformulations. 

Pharmaceutical Analysis:

Method development and validation of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) in bulk, formulation and in dosage forms. All the experiments should be in accordance with the guidelines of the regulatory agencies (ICH, FDA etc.,)

FDA also accepts manuscripts on Herbal drug formulation and standardization provided the use of suitable biomarkers.

Peer Review Process

Journal follows Single Blind Review.

Three Reviewers will be assigned to each submitted manuscripts and a minimum of two reviewers should avail a favorable comment for its acceptance.
