About
An independent publication house, run by academics
Vensel Publications was started in 2013 with the aim of promoting open-access publication.
Our motto
Vensel Publications was started in 2013 with the aim to promote open-access publication. Our aim was to provide an affordable publishing option that also had a standardised set of instructions, was modern, and provided a rapid review outcome.
We continue to stand by these ideas and to evolve our systems, so that we can accommodate emerging technologies and solutions that improve scientific publishing. Over the years we have also started our own projects to improve the workflows in publishing.
People
Vensel Publications was started with the joint efforts of Professor Venkatesan Jayaprakash and Dr Selvakumar Duraipandi. Being academics themselves, their experience played a critical role in shaping the direction of the publication house.
A crucial factor when developing and adopting web resources is accommodating researchers’ attitudes, habits and needs, so that publishing feels frictionless. Vensel Publications is driven by the same idea: adopt emerging technologies, while accommodating existing academic culture to ensure maximum compatibility.
